BoSS: The Parent Association at Botby Comprehensive School

The Parent Association Botby Svenska Skolförening (BoSS) exists to support all families with children at the Botby Comprehensive School.

We work in close cooperation with the families and the personnel at the school to strengthen community building at the Botby Comprehensive School, creating a healthy and safe environment for the children, we also work to bring families together for activites/events with a low threshold (e.g. research has shown that bullying is the lowest in schools were the families know each other and meet on a regular basis). Through its membership fees and other funds BoSS can also fund school activities that create something 'extra' for the children (ie. activities not funded by the City of Helsinki or the government) examples of this would be theatre visits or book purchases for the school library.

BoSS is a local chapter of the national umbrella organisation Förbundet Hem och Skola – The Swedish Parent Association in Finland.

Membership fee

The voluntary membership fee for the school year 2023-2024 is 10 € / parent. You can pay either by:

1) bank transfer: Danske Bank FI54 8000 2705 5617 19. Recepient Botby Svenska Skolförening rf. In the message field write "membership fee"; the name of the child; and their grade (which year/grade their are in, ie. 1-9)

or

2) Via MobilePay, number 17781. In the message field write "membership fee"; the name of the child; and their grade (which year/grade their are in, ie. 1-9)
